Join us for our July Community Café featuring Lucy Ricca and Leigh Ferrin, who will share lessons from California's effort to create a Community Justice Worker program. They'll discuss how the petition came together, the partnerships and strategies that helped move the work forward, and what they learned from engaging courts, community organizations, the bar, and other stakeholders along the way.
Together, we'll explore what it takes to build support for regulatory reform that expands access to justice and creates new pathways for trusted community members to provide legal help. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss how these lessons might apply in their own states and communities.
