Cecilia Munoz is the former Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council under President Obama. A 2000 MacArthur Fellow, Cecilia spent 20 years at the National Council of La Raza (now UnidosUS) prior to joining the Obama Administration. A co-founder and co-chair of Welcome.US, Cecilia also serves on the Boards of New America and the Kresge, MacArthur, and Joyce Foundations, and is an advisor to the Open Society and JPB Foundations. She was born and raised in Detroit, MI.
