Rachel Royal

Rachel Royal is the Program Coordinator at Frontline Justice. A certified paralegal with nine years of legal field experience, she transitioned to nonprofit project and operations management in 2021. At the North Carolina Equal Access to Justice Commission, Rachel managed projects that supported underserved citizens statewide, honing her skills in access to justice initiatives, technology-driven solutions, and financial and grants management. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from Charter Oak State College and is a Certified Paralegal (CP) and NC Certified Paralegal (NCCP).

Her commitment to volunteerism includes serving five years as pro bono co-chair for the North Carolina Bar Association’s Paralegal Division and induction into the 2022 and 2025 North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center’s Paralegal Pro Bono Honor Society. In 2024, she was awarded the Filling the Justice Gap Award by the NC Bar Foundation for her role as a consultant for Royal Touch Project Solutions, which she founded in 2020. She also received this award again in 2025 for her role as a volunteer project manager for the Disaster Legal Services Project, which assisted Tropical Storm Helene victims in western North Carolina. Rachel has been a Charter Advisory Board Member for the North Carolina Justice For All Project since 2021.
