The country has taken another step toward equal access to justice for all. On March 27, the Montana Supreme Court officially authorized a community justice worker program, certifying lay advocates to perform services in the areas of orders of protection and simple housing and consumer matters in justice and city courts.
In addition, Montana Legal Services Association (MLSA) will provide training and mentoring to all individuals certified in the program.
